Calling all Lady Entrepreneurs!

I always love to share opportunities for other women in business, and here is one you should take a moment to read.

Are you a successful woman in business?

Would you like to be written about?

The Duchess O’Blunt is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with.   While her efforts to promote other successful women has seen a slow start, I cannot help but think her tenacity will be more widely acknowledged with each article she writes promoting those same successful women.

I am honoured to be the first lady in what is sure to be a very successful collection of articles on “Woman of Success” she will publish.

Take a moment to read Success 101: Downsized and Overlooked - A Blueprint to Success

To find out more about  her idea of success read Success 101 -What it Means to Me and don’t be shy about leaving a comment on both articles, rating them up for her or sharing them with others.  Frankly, I’d be pleased, she would be pleased, and you will ultimately help the other women whom she will interview next.

I feel this lady is going places, and promoting successful women along the way.  Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to be part of her journey and explore the possibility of being promoted!

Sincerely

Deborah

My Journey to Now

Life is what you make it.   I have decided it’s time I make it what I want it to be.

I am lucky because I have a job and it’s a good one.  I am working for someone else and I realize that means I am not an entrepreneur.   And I hope you don’t think I am swearing by saying I actually like my job.

However, because the thought of retirement looms in the not too distant future (10 years or so), I am thinking about what I want to spend my time on.

TRAVEL Who doesn’t want to travel?  (Scotland for a month or two would be my dream come true.)  Traveling will come in handy when I retire.  I will be able to fit that in with my other love which is writing.  The possibilities are endless!

READING I could spend hours just reading.  When the hubby and the kids are gone and the house is quiet, I have been known to read an entire book in one sitting, only taking a bio and food break once in awhile.  That’s my idea of relaxing!  The bonus is reading is good for a writer, it expands the mind.

WRITING I am a writer.  I write because I love it.  I have entered on a journey to get my name out there, writing good material and looking for success stories to write about.

Do I expect to become rich and famous?  - Not likely!  But I do expect I will enjoy it.  Once retirement hits, I’d like to have already made a name for myself, and hopefully find opportunities to do what I so enjoy doing.

So, in the meantime, I write and publish articles on HubPages.  Currently I receive almost 200 hits a day and I hope that will increase.

I have two interviews with successful women in the works and am looking to post them in January of 2010.  My new beginning so to speak.

I am looking forward to finding success stories of women around the world and sharing them with other women around the world.

Do you have one?

  • Photo Gallery: Taking A Family Portrait Outdoors
Are you an amateur or a wanna be photographer? ME TOO! My first attempt at taking a family portrait didn't yield many shots that are the stuff you want to post on your walls, but it was a lot of fun. Come see.

  • Photo Gallery of Older Barns
Farming has been the mainstay of every country. Ontario has had it's fair share of older family farms. While the family farm is in decline, the barns erected centuries ago still stand. View this photo gallery and remember the back breaking manual labor that went into building them.
